Kids on The Hill
(Birth - 5th Grade)
Kids on The Hill is one of our ministries at SMBC focused on ministering to children from birth-5th grade. Our kids ministry offers opportunities for children through Sunday School classes and a Children’s Church hour that offers age-appropriate lessons, songs, videos, and crafts. The more, the merrier as we learn about and worship Jesus together! We are excited to serve your family through our children’s ministry, Kids on The Hill!

Children are dropped off at our marked “Kids Check-In” entrance and are greeted by our teachers and volunteers into a fun and vibrant Kids Zone to learn and worship on their level! The check-in desk opens at 9:15 for Sunday School and 10:30 for Sunday Morning Worship!
Kids on The Hill Church Experience
The Kids on The Hill Church begins on Sunday mornings at 11:00am. While in a service designed just for kids, they will learn worship songs and the books of the Bible, enjoy making a craft, and hear a lesson to help them in their journey to faith in Christ! All Kids on The Hill volunteers undergo a background check prior to being allowed to serve on the Kids’ Hall. Phone numbers of guardians are kept on file for use during the Sunday service in case of any emergency. Any food allergy information about your child is also requested to be given to one of our volunteers, as children are often provided a snack during Children’s Church. In addition, as an added measure of security, children are only allowed to be picked up by the adult guardian with whom they arrived. We deeply care about the safety and security of your children while they are in our care — after all, it’s what Jesus would do!
Mrs. Becky Morris has been involved in various children’s ministries and early childhood education for 30+ years. She brings an excitement for God’s Word to the children in creative ways and, with the help of our Kids on The Hill council, makes sure every child leaves with a better understand of who God is calling them to be!
