What We Believe

Doctrine

God

We believe that there is one God who exists in three beings: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to earth to be born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose from the grave three days later, ascended into Heaven, and will return for His Church one day.

Christ's Return

We believe that Jesus Christ will literally and triumphantly return to earth to take His Church home to Heaven to live there, eternally, with Him.

Holy Spirit

We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convincing unbelievers of their need for salvation and is the Comforter and Guide Who lives in every Believer. He enables every Believer to live the life that God has called them to live.

Bible

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God without any error, the sole authority for life and faith.

Man

We believe that human beings are special creations of God and are made in His image, but that through the sin of the first human beings, Adam & Eve, mankind fell so that all people are sinners and need salvation.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift received by repentance to God and through faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Assurance

We believe that every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Eternity

We believe that those persons who die in their sins, without Christ, spend eternity in Hell and those persons who die with their sins forgiven, through Christ, spend eternity in Heaven.

Baptism

We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ, by His own example, and is by immersion after salvation.

Church

We believe that the Church is comprised of all people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The “Church” is not a building but, rather, the group of Christians who believe what Romans 10:9 says: “If you will confess with your mouth “the Lord Jesus” and will believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”

Prayer

We believe that each Believer has direct access to God through prayer with the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Government

We believe in the separation of Church and State, but not in the separation of God and Government.

Marriage and Fidelity

We are committed to the home and family as set forth in Holy Scripture. We believe God has ordained and created marriage to exist between one man and one woman, with absolute marital fidelity. The Bible sets forth specific home and family values, which include the distinct roles of husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, and children. It is our firm conviction that we uphold the dignity of each individual as we embrace the unchanging and longstanding principles of scriptural truth.

The Sanctity of Human Life and Abortion

We believe that God has created mankind in His image (Imago Dei) and that human life begins at conception. God, in His infinite sovereignty, uniquely formed human beings and gave them special dignity, personal freedom, and individual accountability among all the works of creation. Human beings have been made for relationships with God and to be good and faithful stewards of creation. God created each person’s inmost being, knitting each person together in his mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13). As God’s individualized and personal creation, each and every person is fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14). God has ordained all the days of each person’s life before they came to be. (Psalm 139:16).

How To Be Saved

Salvation is not about being religious. Salvation is about having a personal relationship with Jesus as your Savior! Salvation is a FREE gift that you cannot earn for yourself, but you can have it by trusting in what Jesus Christ has already accomplished for you on the cross!

1) First, you must understand that we all have sinned and come up short from God’s glorious standard of righteousness and perfection (Romans 3:23)

2) Next, you must realize that because of our sin and rebellion against God that we deserve death and total separation from God for all of eternity. But, God has offered us the gift of eternal life through His only begotten Son, Jesus (Romans 6:23 & John 3:16)

3) Romans 5:8 tells us the incredible love of God is shown in the fact that Jesus came to the earth perfect and died in the place of sinners

4) Salvation becomes ours when we place of our faith (believe) in what Jesus has done for us in our place (Acts 16:31)

Salvation can be your promise and hope today by simply saying, “Yes!” to Jesus! From your heart, admit to Him that you have sinned and missed His mark of righteousness and that you believe that Jesus died for your sin, was buried, and rose again the third day for your salvation.

The Bible says in Romans 10:13 that, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This means that when you put your trust in Jesus, He WILL save you!

Would you trust Him today?

Baptism

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.

It’s a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. It’s an outward expression of an inward decision. It’s a way of solidifying the most important decision that a follower of Christ makes.

Your next step after following Jesus and asking Him to be your Lord and Savior is baptism.
