Where Fell It?

What happens when we find ourselves swinging hard at life but making no progress? That is exactly the question at the heart of this powerful exploration of 2 Kings 6, where a group of men set out to build something meaningful for God only to discover that the tool they depended on most had gone missing. The axe head lost in the river becomes a striking symbol of something we may all recognize: the absence of God's power in our daily lives. We can look the part, go through the motions, and even stay busy with good things, yet find that nothing is truly cutting through. This message challenges us to be honest about those seasons when our prayer life feels hollow, when Scripture seems silent, and when our faith feels more like a routine than a living relationship. The deeper question being raised is not just whether the power is gone, but whether we even notice when it is. There is something sobering and hopeful in that tension, and it invites us to take a genuine look at where we are in our walk with God.
